BACKGROUND
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) updated and consolidated the number of licenses and permits they offer from 75 in 2019 to 37 as of September 1, 2021.  When the City of Schertz updated the Fee Schedule on September 14, 2021, the TABC License/Permit Types: Wine and Malt Beverage Retailer’s Permit (BG) and (Malt Beverage) Retail Dealer’s Off-Premise License (BE), it did not include the different fees associated with these License/Permit Types, as to which county the business resides in. 
GOAL
To update the Schertz Fee Schedule with the Malt Beverage Retailer’s Permit (BG) and (Malt Beverage) Retail Dealer’s Off-Premise License (BE) and the local fees associated with each license.
COMMUNITY BENEFIT
The Schertz Fee Schedule will be updated and show the correct TABC Licenses/Permit Fees and the local Fees that the City of Schertz can collect from businesses selling alcoholic beverages within the city limits.
SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends council approve the proposed updates to the fees schedule.
FISCAL IMPACT
The fee changes will affect the General Fund with the collection of the correct local fees allowed by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. 
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution No. 21-R-110.
